This weekend we hit Pet Smart for puppy supplies: leash, collar, squeaky toys, stuffies, and a plush little bed. FOR DUNCAN.
Which Jasper immediately called dibs on. When Nick saw him, he scooted him out of the bed and flipped it over assuming that was that. Clearly he forgot what a defiant little creature he was dealing with.
Ha! You think I care if the bed is actually COMFORTABLE? (see defiant death stare) (The water bottle was sloshed threateningly in his direction, and he flinched, but he held his ground. And looked maybe even more defiant.)
Then Nick tried to chase him out of the bed again, but Jasper was having none of it, and just threw him a big f you, kitty style.
(By the way if you look at the bottom of the picture? That is Jasper's bed. Which is EXACTLY THE SAME. Except older and rattier. He's no fool, he wants the good one!)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
When Nick left the room, I flipped the bed back over and Jasper immediately dive bombed back into it. Then *I* left the room and Nick gave up and tossed Jasper a cuddle buddy.
Tomorrow we're going back to Pet Smart to get Duncan a new bed, since clearly his is now taken. The ratty one has been adopted by Simba, who is currently napping in it. I'd take a picture if he wasn't afraid of his own shadow but it's not worth the fallout.
I think today we learned that Jasper is the alpha dog in this household.

OMG,he(Jasper) is SO CUTE. He looks like my kitty Sugar,-what color eyes does he have? He's beautiful. (And just to comment about puppy pics before,....too cute for words!) and YES, what a little HAM he is. GORGEOUS little guy. More pictures please. I'll show you more pictures of my new kitten Monkey if you show me more of all of your kids! Too cute.And many thanks.

I so love that you purchased a leash for your cat. I am a firm believer that it should be socially acceptable to take one's cat anywhere one goes.
